Build Me This!
The first ever hospital dedicated to the care and treatment of young people and children opened in Cardiff in 2005. But did you know that the Children's Hospital for Wales, which is located on the campus of University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff (or Heath Hospital to you and me), was only the first phase and they’re adding more buildings and things?
Phase II is currently in progress and they need your help. On Wednesday 8th July, the Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust are meeting with school representatives to discuss and identify projects which will help in the design and planning of key developments such as the design of a play area and garden.
Is your school going to be present? If not, why not? Poke and prod them to get involved! What would you like to see in the new building which will include children’s operating theatres, a new critical care unit, brand new wards for children needing surgery and an adolescent ward? Why not post some ideas below?
This is your chance to shape the future of care for young people in Wales, so don’t miss out!
