Drewvis was the frontman for ska-punk rock band Out Of Luck that broke up in 2005.
Drew plays in Brighton-based band Second Time Lucky, although he does do some acoustic ska songs.
He was signed in 2008 to Do The Dog Records (same lable as local band Dirty Revolution) and released a seven track EP with Pablo Mason sometimes stepping on bass duties.
All the songs on?his MySpace profile are beautiful; upbeat yet laid-back. He's got some ska riffs and vocal harmonies that will make you smile, clap for joy, try to sing along, but mostly just sway in front of your computer with a huge grin on your face.
Isn't it cool when you find out about artists via MySpace?
"Fuelled by tea", 2009 looks to be a really hectic year for Drewvis who's in the process of writing and recording new songs for his second album.?He says it's going to be out in the eary part of the year, and he's also looking at the posibility of doing yet another Eastern European tour.
"Book him and he'll come" the profile reads, "he might even get their early if you have free beer or boobs", ha ha ha, legendary.
Seems like the cream of the ska crop is everywhere at the moment, make the most of it while it lasts. Invest in one of his CDs, rootsy and strongly melodic, listen to it over summer, preferably around a campfire, introduce his music to your mates. I know I will.
