Doctor Who Up Close Cardiff ? the exhibition showcasing Doctor Who props, costumes and monsters at The Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff Bay ? will be welcoming Russell T Davies, the executive producer and lead writer of Doctor Who, on Thurs 30 Oct 2008 to reopen the all-new exhibition.?

The grand reopening and drinks reception will commence from 6pm, following the recent re-vamp ? which has also seen the arrival of the Supreme Dalek (featured in the most recent series of Doctor Who).

Doctor Who Up Close first opened in the heart of Cardiff Bay back in Dec 2005 and has continued to draw Doctor Who fans, young and old. Visitors can still encounter the famous Cybermen, meet K9, view the TARDIS, and see costumes worn by the Time Lord ? plus many more creatures and props. And, as Cardiff is the filming location of Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, so the Doctor Who Up Close exhibition sits right in the home of Doctor Who. In fact, visitors are within easy walking distance of many of the key locations seen in the programmes.

Doctor Who Up Close is open every day from 10.30am to 7.30pm (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day) and tickets can be purchased on the door. Each admission receives a wristband which is valid all day. There is also an extensive sci-fi gift shop, featuring the largest range of Doctor Who merchandise in Cardiff with toys, games and collectables for every age.

Admission prices to the Doctor Who Up Close Exhibition Cardiff: £5.00 Adults, £3.50 Children and Concessions, £14.00 Family Ticket (2+2)
