Inspire Awards 2011: Enter Now
It's grey, there's leaves on the ground and Lidl have had German Christmas confectionery on their shelves for weeks; yep it's autumn and autumn in Cardiff means the Inspire Awards.
The Inspire Awards are Cardiff Against Bullying's annual shindig celebrating those who stand up to bullies and the inspirational people across our city who go that extra mile to offer help, support and friendship.
The ceremony is all set to take place at the Millennium Stadium on Thursday 17th November (which is in the middle of Anti-Bullying Week, fancy that!) and you and someone you know could be there. How? Well the nominations for the Inspire Awards are open until Thursday 20th October. There are now six award categories, so if you know someone that deserves some recognition then download this form, fill it out and send it off to CAB (cab@cardiff.gov.uk) ASAP!
2011 marks the awards' third year and to celebrate CAB launched its 30 Day "You Can Make A Difference" Challenge in the run up to the ceremony. More information on the challenge can be found on their Facebook Fan Page.
Last year's theme was "Free To Be Me" and avid Sprouter's will notice that we ran a poetry competition around it last year that proved rather popular and was won by Stormer007. It was so popular that we have decided to do it again using this year's theme - "You Can Make A Difference".
So if you have a story, a poem or even a photo that sums up the "You Can Make A Difference" vibe then submit it in the usual way. The winner will win a small prize of something or other, all entries will be posted on theSprout and let's say the closing date is a month today, Saturday 5th November. Good luck!

I think I'll go for the award two years running =P
But seriously, this is such a great cause and it generates such creativity and brilliant content!
Have a brilliant time everyone writing and I look forward to reading your stuff.
Also, I'm loving the nonchalant nature of the competition. "The winner will win a small prize of something or other, all entries will be posted on theSprout and let's say the closing date is a month today, Saturday 5th November" Haha! Love it!
