Mardi Gras Youth Zone Line Up
It is nearly upon us, the biggest LGBT festival in Wales. This year’s Youth Zone is bigger and better than last years and is funded by the Youth Sexual Health Team from Cardiff and Vale Public Health Team, the Substance Misuse Education & Advice Service and Ash Wales. So here is the line-up for the Cardiff Wales LGBT Mardi Gras Youth Zone:
- Ezeeeplay are providing free face painting
- Boulders Climbing Centre are offering a go on their climbing wall (£1 donation required)
- Loud & Proud (LGBT) Youth Provision will be providing Arts & Craft sessions and a chance to make non-alcoholic cocktails
- No Fit State Circus are providing free circus skills lessons from 2pm until 4pm
- YMCA Bike Club will be doing a fun competition using a bike on a power trainer as they set a challenge to see how far they can ride in one minute. This will show how easy it is to travel around Cardiff by bike as well as the exercise benefits of cycling.
- Cardiff C-Card Scheme will be providing basic sexual health advice and condom demonstrations
- LGBT Harmony will be on hand to write lyrics for a song which will be recorded to voice the opinions of LGBT young people
- TheSprout will be providing a diary room so come and talk to your heart’s content. Come and get your free Sprout mask!
- Banned Girls – A new film being produced about a girl band are looking for support. This film will also have an appearance from Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper – Torchwood). So come along and find out more about this new film
- Artisticflare (a female beat-boxer from Taunton) will be on hand to give you a few lessons in beat-boxing
