Sprout Saturday Sessions
TheSprout Saturday Sessions are a series of free monthly workshops where young people in Cardiff can come along and learn a new creative skill. The results of the sessions will then be displayed at an exhibition in September.
The inaugural session will take place on Saturday 2nd July 2011 in Cardiff Central Library and will focus on creative writing. This event is for everybody, from those who have never written a story before to experienced writers who want to tweak their masterpieces. This first session is being led by local author Jaque Thay who has all sorts of games, tips and tricks to get that great idea out of your head and onto the paper.
We will also have recording equipment available with which you can practice and use to bring your creative masterpieces to life.
There will be three sessions incorporating Creative Writing, Film-making and Improv Comedy.
Saturday July 2nd
Saturday July 30th
TBA
OCN accreditation will be available for some subjects.
All the sessions will run 12pm – 2pm in the 4th Floor Meeting Room, Cardiff Central Library and will be free for all.

Oooh! Oooh! I wanna help with the Creative Writing!
I should also point out (because I didn't know myself until I did a course) that 'OCN accreditation' means that you can get a qualification (a bit like an NVQ) that can go on your CV and count towards university points and things.
