Saturday March 6th 2010 will mark the day when parents, Youth Workers and Councillors alike join together at Cardiff International Arena (CIA) to take part in the W.A.L.E.S (We All Listen, Except Society) event to find out the issues that young disabled people face in 2010.

The show, which will be written and performed entirely by young disabled people and will include an art display, drama performance and music to provide young disabled people with the same opportunities as their non disabled peers, whilst raising awareness of not only the barriers society imposes on them as individuals but of individual aspirations and dreams for the future.

The W.A.L.E.S. event is part of the Diverse Youth Project run by the Cardiff and Vale Coalition of Disabled People (CVCDP).

Danni Richards, CVCDP’s Youth Officer says, “Professionals, Councillors and parents will take part in facilitated workshops to discuss the issues, and think about some solutions.

"This is an exciting event that really pushes young disabled people’s voice to the forefront of decision making”.
