Displaced People in Action (D.P.I.A)
If you are a young refugee or asylum seeker then DPIA can provide you with a number of educational and recreational projects. We offer advice and guidance while supporting your access to other local services. There are four main projects that you can get involved in, these are:- 1. Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (for 16 to 18 year olds). Our Youth Inclusion Scheme includes many different kinds of activities for you to get involved in. The scheme can be tailored to suit your specific needs and we hold regular drop-in events to discuss the development of the project. ESOL classes are open to everyone and accommodate students from all educational backgrounds. By taking part in our Children and Young Persons Project you can also gain accreditation, develop existing skills and discover new ones.
