The 7th National St David’s Day Parade will take place on Monday 1 March, supported by Cardiff Council and the National Assembly for Wales. Bandstand entertainment with a welsh flavour will be available in the city centre from 12 noon to 3pm. Please note, Parade flags and groups wishing to join the parade must register in advance at events@cardiff.gov.uk.
From 6.30pm, Cardiff Central Library will provide free entertainment and food including performances from Welsh 80s rock band Derec Brown a’r Racaracwyr, youth choir Côr Aelwyd y Waun Ddyfal, welsh harpist Angharad Devonald, traditional Welsh folk dancing by Dawnswyr Caerdydd and a chance to sample a free Welsh cake or two.
