Prepare to be "shocked, surprised, amused, annoyed, tickled, tantalised, seduced and sated" (www.welshicons.org.uk) at our next fast-paced and unashamedly populist Manic Monday event, this time featuring:

MARK NIEL Since 2008, Mark Niel has been delighting audiences all over the UK with his deft ability to blend humour, pathos and provocative material, sometimes in the same poem. An assured performer with a sure-fire wit, he is a "rising star of the UK poetry scene" (Hammer & Tongue) and a slam-winning wonder who has never before ventured into Wales. We are delighted to announce Mark as our featured headline act - and wonder if, same as we when we saw him before, there will be a little bit of a strip-tease taking place... Come along and find out!!! www.akickinthearts.co.uk

JACK PASCOE A message from Mr Pascoe: "My name is Jack. I’m a spoken poet originally from London. I live in Cardiff where I am currently making a name for myself on the open mic poetry scene. I write riddles and rhymes to pass the times about anything that I happen to come across. I tell stories of rude boys, drunk blokes, city life, crime, sex, drugs and of course rock and roll." Wow! An upcoming rock n roll poet who ain't to be missed.

SCOTT FITZGERALD is a comic, actor, writer and poet, who also organises the Cardiff Comedy Festival, as well as the Welsh Comedy Festival last year. He has had huge successes at Edinburgh with his one-man shows, and is a charming and charismatic performer whose poems have already had city audiences enthralled at previous events in Chapter and O'Neills.

BENJAMIN PARTRIDGE is an upcoming writer and new Welsh comedian. Hailing from Radyr, he's written for BBC Radio 4's News Quiz and has supported Rhod Gilbert on tour. He also featured on BBC Radio's 'What's the Story' panel show and is a definite name to watch, as both writer *and* comic. One of his fine short stories features in this month's edition of The Lit List.

Also features our ever-popular open mic section - come and have a go!
