Animal Welfare Lessons For Young People
Cardiff Trading Standards has brought together a number of partner agencies to help teach around 2,500 Year 6 pupils lessons about safety, health and crime at this year’s Crucial Crew event.
There are two new additions to the event this year in the form of two Animal Welfare stations. One is dedicated to horse and pony care and safety and the other to pet care.
New Animal Welfare legislation and new enforcement responsibilities on Trading Standards include an educational obligation to raise awareness in this age-group.
Cardiff is introducing the subject to schools through the Crucial Crew event which runs all this week (18th-22nd January) at the Treforest Safety Zone.
