Bitten By Vampires?

I'm sure a lot of you are sick and tired of hearing about vampires, but have any of you actually given them a chance?
How many people here have actually read the Twilight series? (Not seen the film; read the books.) They are a seductive, dark and mysterious quartet of novels that follow the love life of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, who of course is a beautiful vampire. Some may hate the cliché love story they follow and automatically turn away from Stephenie Meyer's books, but once you're bitten by the vampire genre, there really is no going back.
I have posted about another vampire series before, the House of Night novels. These are a completely different series of books in which the whole idea of 'vampires' is looked at entirely differently: they are not seen as bloodsucking creatures of the night, or the beautiful alluring modern vamps, but instead as "children of Nyx" who is night personified. They are looked at as normal teenagers who have been "marked" and made to join the House of Night. The series especially focuses on one pre-vampire, otherwise known as a fledgling, and her dark story at the House of Night that follows romance, death, betrayal, friendship and much more. The books are wonderfully written and also as seductive and intense and the Twilight books.
I will never look at vampires in the same way as I used to, and after you read the books you'll be able to stop being prejudiced against vampires and finally learn to love them the way I do. Every story I find myself reading about them is not, NOT, as cheesy and stupid as some people say they are. They are well written.
They're like Marmite, they either bite you or they don't.
Finally I'd like to conclude by saying I'm not trying to force whoever reads this to go and read a vampire book, but encourage them to stop putting these kinds of books down so much, and stop listening to critics who just want things like Bram Stoker's Dracula and are not actually looking at the other side of vampires.
Vampires as a whole have changed the way I look at things. The books themselves always get me excited and eager for more, and there always seems to be more vampire genre waiting to be found. I love all things 'vampire' and no matter what critic puts them down or says they're "cheesy" or "predictable" or whatever, they're not.
Praise for the vampire genre!

I think you are so right! I read an article called not so smitten about being bitten, and i get so fustrated when they have a go at vampires. Personly I love the twilight books and the night world books (which if you havent read and you like twilight, then I reccomend them to you!). Although I love reading books about the other type of vampires like the ones that are evil, bloodsucking monsters. Anyway! How can people think aliens are better than vampires???!!! All im saying Sambow and everyone else is that vampires rule and if you like them, im with you forever!!!
WHOO! VAMPIRES RULE!

Keep it cool!

My friend heared about the films and said
"That's going to be so rubbish I am never watching that!"
I said how obsessed I was and she said she would give ot a go.
If I took the films off her now, she would burst with furiousity, she loves them.
Never decide whether you want to watch it or not because of the critics review.
By the way TEAM EDWARD!!!!
