Have you ever gone through your music files looking for a song or an album and found something old that you used to love listening to? Well you’re not the only one, recently whilst I was sorting through my files and listening to the odd good song now and then to pass the time, they suddenly appeared. Music files that I used to listen to all the time, yet haven’t listened to in years, albums like the following...

These are albums I used to listen to over and over, I’d spend hours dancing around the house and singing out loud to the top tracks that everyone knew at the time. I remember after getting my very first laptop and just playing the Busted album when it was just released. I was singing What I Go To School For with my cousin and having a great time, nowadays I hardly listen to these because they are out of the charts and I listen to more recent music that I enjoy just as much, music such as the following...

Most of the time now you can find me listening to Alice Cooper and singing along to Your Feminine Side. I love the song, but get some weird looks at times since the lyrics go something along the lines of:- “You’ve got stars on your scars, you’ve got surprise in your eyes” but now I’ve gone off track on this article, I’ll admit that I am still a fan of the old band Busted and can still have a great time listening to their old songs, I just wanted to write this to show you people who love the old music (Yes even older music from the 60s + and even older) you're not alone, I’m not the first or the last to say so but I love the old music, I grew up on The Beatles, ABBA, Queen and much more because of my parents.

Sometimes I listen to current music and think to myself “Why do people like this?” other times I’m there in the crowds listening and shouting along to the lyrics and totally understanding why people love the songs, most of the time you just like the beat in the music, some people love the lyrics because they can relate to the passion/pain/anger and much more, some people even enjoy the music just because of the person who's singing it. To be honest I come under all of these, I love the beat of the drums, I love the lyrics and at times just because of the singer I love the music, i.e. Alice Cooper.

So here I am busted for listening to old music and even singing all to it. Earlier on this very day I was listening to Life Is A Roller Coaster by Ronan Keating and I’ll admit I loved every minute of the lyrics. This concludes my article, I hope you enjoyed reading my bit of fun, and please don’t be afraid to comment.

Are people getting nostalgic for mp3s already? I feel old. Dug out my old mixtapes that I recorded off the radio when I was at my mum's last, old mixes by DJ Shadow, Avalanches, Mr Scruff. Oh the halcyon days of specialist radio.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

I was tidying my old room at my parents the other week and found some old cassettes that I'd made / recorded off the radio! Though my taste hasn't changed much. I also found my old VHS films I owned, including all of the Bond films taped off of TV. Ah, the days when you had to fast forward through adverts on your own videos. Or I was just cheap.

I love Busted!!!
I still listen to them regularly, I love the song "Can't Break Thru" although I hate their spelling of the word through. It's too American.

I also love the bands Aqua and Toy Box, and Aqua were around ten years before I was!
