Fire Safety

Today 14 kids in my school and year group went to the local fire station to become the school's fire safety team, me included.

Bambino's top tips for fire safety are:

1. Make sure that you check the smoke alarm monthly.

2. Make sure that your bins are away from the house because bin fires spread fast.

3. If you can't get out of the house get into a bedroom and block the gap under the door.

If you have a phone in the room call 999, if you don't- open a window as fast as you can and throw a mattress out of it. Then jump and shout the neighborhood down.

This is great for raising awareness of what to do in an emergency fire. Well done! What happened on this fire safety day?

Got something to say?
