Google Makes Cardiff 3D
Ever looked at a map and thought “I can’t make heads or tails of this. If only it was in 3D, then I’d totally know where I am!”
Well Google are here to save the day yet again. The digital behemoths are trialling 3D maps on their Android mobile operating systems in Cardiff, putting our city in a select band of just one hundred worldwide locations being used in the test. The only other UK city is Birmingham but we’ll ignore that.
You don’t even need to be online to use 3D maps as ones that are frequently accessed, say if you keep getting lost in the same location, then the application will automatically save the maps rather than call for medical assistance or think you’re a complete tool.
With tilting, rotating, zooming and compass functions, you’ll never get lost in Cardiff again.
So do you have a phone that uses Google Android? Have you tried out the 3D map of Cardiff? If so then comment below!
But don’t worry if you don’t have such a fancy-pants phone; remember you could just ask someone directions. Or learn to read a map.

That is cool. Nice how a "little" city like Cardiff has been chosen. Integration is key to the advancement of tech, imo
