It’s Almost CLICmas!
Today is the 25th of November. Yep it’s exactly one month till the big day. So it seems timely to tell you about CLIC’s plans for Christmas.
First off it’s CLICmas. If that rings a bell then you’ll remember last year’s 12 Blogs Of CLICmas (number 11 was particularly good).
Secondly we’re doing the same again but not really. Blogs are so 2010 y’know? For 2011 anything goes, I mean we’ll still take an article but if you’re a photographer, film-maker, illustrator, DJ, musician, animator, whatever as long as it’s creative then drop it in to us. All we ask is that it’s Christmassy and about your personal take on the holiday season.
Thirdly rather than aping the 12 days of Christmas we’re doubling up in an advent calendar fashion, meaning we want 24 submissions. But why should you get off your reindeer and submit something?
Now that’s the fourth thing. The finest submission to the CLICmas Advent Calendar will win a freaking sweet prize. We're still testing the awesomeness of stuff (no we're not waiting for the Boxing Day sales) but we'll let you know what we pick. Hey if you have an idea, why not pop it in the comments section below?
So do you want a little window of your own on our calendar and a shot at the prize? All you have to do is email me - sam@cliconline.org.uk and I’ll allocate you a spot. Then submit your thingamajig in the same manner you would with any other submission to CLIC (i.e through this page) but include “CLICmas” in the title.
The first window will swing open predictably on Thursday 1st December and new ones will appear daily right up until the final one on Christmas Eve *counts on fingers* that’s 24 right?
Anyway drop me an email (that's sam@cliconline.org.uk) for a spot and get writing, drawing, shooting, whittling, knitting, baking, playing, mixing, painting and so forth… oh and good luck… and Merry CLICmas!
Email me or comment below if you have any questions.
