If this verse is familiar with you, regardless of whether or not you either a) want to smash up wherever it's coming from or b) are restraining yourself to sing along, Mindless Self Indulgence have been one of the most heavily played rock bands of the year, dominating the rock music press.
MSI are an American electro-punk band founded in 1997 by lead man Jimmy Urine, and based in New York City. Self described as "industrial jungle pussy punk", MSI do indeed incorporate punk, industrial and drum and bass / jungle beats for an upbeat feel that sets them apart from their contemporaries.?
The phemonenal sucess of their album You'll Rebel To Anything has given them huge popularity, and they headline this year's Kerrang!?Relentless Tour (sponsored by the energy drink) along with local hardcore metallers Bring Me The Horizon and progressive American rockers In Case Of Fire.
MSI play Cardiff Uni on Saturday 17 January. Tickets are £15.50, you can buy them from the Cardiff Student's Union box office in person or online. Get your glowsticks from the freezer, grab your tightest drainpipes and find that old body paint from when nu rave kicked off. Oh, and don't forget the eyeliner.
