No Apologies
I won't apologise for being who I am
I'm not going to say sorry because I'm a woman
My hormones rage
Sometimes I get upset
Most of the time I'm just plain hissy
But still don't tell me to say sorry.
You like me for who I am
Or you don't like me at all
There's no in-between
Too many people say they care about me
Then tell me I need to change.
Stop trying to make me someone I'm not
Stop trying to take control of something you cannot
I'm not yours to keep
I'm not to be hidden away
Or put in a cage.
