Preview: FOE @ Buffalo
FOE (Hannah Louise Clark): the avant-garde, punk singer songwriter who The Guardian hails as a ‘wig-wearing ex-child witch’ will be visiting Cardiff’s Buffalo Bar on Monday 23rd January. Hannah Louise Clark is a unique songstress with a strong artistic style, quirky lyrics and brilliant presence.
The gig will celebrate the release of her debut album Bad Dream Hotline, which was released January 16th and is sure to be an exciting experience of cerebral, 90s influenced, gutter guitar rock. FOE’s sleazy vocals and heart-thumping drums with a quirky style and alternative charisma should make for a unique experience.
Her single, Deep Water Heart Breaker was released in 2011 and was mixed by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Pearl Jam, Portishead) and over the last six months she has immersed herself in various projects with the Entrepeneurs and Ghostpoet. The upcoming gig promises new sounds and brand new material and she has been described by Clash Music as “A frenetic source of creation”.
Venue: Buffalo Bar, Cardiff
