Sub-Ed Note: Those of a highly sensitive disposition may find the piece below upsetting. But I mean really sensitive. Hyper sensitive.

I never expected this.
She had threatened to commit suicide before, but I never believed that she ever would. That she ever could.

She had made my life hell for too long.
When I was young and weak, she would raise her voice at me and that would be enough to make me run crying. As I grew older, she grew louder. One day she got so angry, she kicked a whole in the wall. As I became older, and she couldn't affect me by shouting, she began kicking holes in me instead.

She had destroyed the strongest person I knew.
I wasn't her only victim. She treated the other worse than me. She tried to control the other. She led the other to self-harming, which only worsened my opinion of her. The other had considered suicide as well, but the other was strong. The other didn't commit suicide on trivial factors.

She had taken her life over nothing.
I overheard her talking. About work. About the other. About me. At work, she had paid an invoice that she wasn't meant to, and so she began panicking and thinking that she would get fired over this one tiny slip-up. The other was meant to be doing a CRB check so the other could work with children, but the other had expected her to do all the work for the other. I had not acted on her instructions instantly, and so that made me a lazy girl. A useless, good for nothing girl in her eyes.

She was a bitch.
She was my mother.
She was dead in front of me, but I felt nothing.

wow, I actually wonder if this is based upon something real in anyway, I know most people like me create scenarios and then write about them but to write something about something this sensitive is pretty brave.

Wow; It seems to be the only words we can up with for this, well done elin. It must be hard to try and capture that type of emotion sometimes...but then again all of us writers are writing quite gloomy things. Nonetheless it's excellent. We must spread the optimisim that's truly within us!
That's really emotive, really good! :)

Got something to say?
