Rel8 Radio Needs You
If you picked up SproutZine #1 (c’mon we printed thousands of those things!) then you’ll be aware of the relationship between us and Rel8 Radio.
Based in The Information Shop/Buzz Cafe on Penarth Road, Grangetown, Rel8 Radio is brand spanking new internet community radio station for young people all over Cardiff.
They’ve got the mics, some sweet speakers and some nifty Numarks but they’re missing something. Your voice.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been near a studio, Nuno and the boys will train you up, giving you that all-important first step to radio greatness. Whether you’re interested in music, presenting, journalism or radio production, they want you to get involved.
At the moment Rel8 Radio are running training sessions on Thursdays 10am-2pm and Saturdays 11am-2pm, but may be running more soon, so keep checking back here for info.
The sessions are free to attend but they’d like you to drop a quick email to njtmendes@googlemail.com beforehand to let them know when you’re coming.

I am looking to "do something" for our teenagers in Llanedeyrn. I work in the local library and we are often at odds with the kids who come in to use the computers who forget that we are a library ( open to all) and not a Youth Club!!
I am hoping to try and focus their attention on something ...other than facebook!!
Sorry this is a query and not suggestions for yourself.......but I thought I would ask the professionals.
