Are you interested in fashion?

An intercultural fashion and clothes exchange takes place in the Riverside Warehouse this coming Saturday?6 December at?5pm (admission £3).

This project is run by Safer Wales, and supported by the Oxfam small grants scheme?in enabling young people to understand the impact of lifestyle within?the local?community.?

The project highlights?how local communities and the rest of the?world are linked.?

Objectives through different activities with different themes framing specific topics have also included identity and culture, encouraging people to consume Fair Trade products, challenge people’s consumption, encourage people to reduce, reuse and recycle and raise awareness about the life condition of most of the producers from developing countries where many products come from.

Also as part of the project, young people discovered hidden parts of the world and have been able to express themselves in different activities which gave them different perspectives.

"For a long term project, we want to get young people interested?in cultural exchanges and form a core group of to link with Africa," says organiser,?Diki Soidiki. "Fashion is a huge context and through it?we can challenge different issues that the world faces".?
