Soundtrack 2011: Everything Around Film & Music
After a break the famous Soundtrack International Film and Music Festival returns from 16th-20th of November to Cardiff and Newport. It's a brilliant opportunity to enjoy music and film together and visit some screening sessions with Q&A discussions, workshops and music events.
The program of the festival is really wide-ranging, so you can easily get involved in everything around film and music.
The screening program of the festival starts with a showing of the film Shame and is followed by by a Q&A with Oscar/BAFTA/BIFA Winning producer Iain Canning and composer Harry Escott. Other screenings will take place in Cardiff and Newport and some of the Newport shows will be free - you'll need to register for a seat (e-mail to Newport@soundtrackfilmfestival.com), because places are limited. Those who stay in Cardiff shouldn't worry because the ticket prices start from only £2.50.
There will be three music events during the festival: BUG: The Evolution of Music Video with Adam Buxton, An Evening with Dimmu Borgir! with Until The Light Takes Us Pre-Show Screening and a concert from Guillemots at the historic Coal Exchange in Cardiff Bay.
If you would like to learn about films and lots more around it during the Soundtrack Festival you can choose from many different kinds of workshops, for example soundtrack creation and video editing, law and copyright, film trailers and career in the TV or Film industries.
