A lot of ideas to prevent crime in the city are thought up by teenagers. Fed up with having to watch your back and being intimidated? Make a difference by using your own words and music!

It all started like that when Grassroots Cardiff invited young musicians to write an anti-violence track about how we can stay safe, how we can prevent or deal with confrontation, and brought their lyrics to our studios to record for free.

All participants will be included in a Stay Safe CD compilation that will be given away to local radio, press, online services, schools, colleges, music shops and live venues in and around Cardiff!

Now the time has come to perform their songs in one of the most important clubs in town, as part of the Stay Safe Live Showcase, which is taking place at The Toucan Club on Wednesday 2nd December at 19.30.

A voting competition will take place where the best song will be chosen to make a music video as part of a Stay Safe DVD documentary and be broadcast on the big screens of Cardiff (Queen St., Hayes, Cardiff Central) and the screens on the bendy-buses.

Raise awareness about how we can stay safe in the city. Invite your friends to the night and spread the word!

Music is power and you can use it to make a change around you!
