Toy Mic Trevor

Silence has fallen over Queen Street. Just to the right of Boots to be exact. Occasionaly by Gap too. But mainly by Boots.

Once upon a time, this end of our fabled shopping thoroughfare was filled with a sweet if distorted croon and the titters of the bemused and the salutations of knowing.

I am of course talking about Toy Mic Trevor.

A visionary, Toy Mic Trevor combined the works of Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Sir Tom Jones with the distortive properties of a toy microphone, years before Daft Punk got in on the act.

Although originally from London, Cardiffians quickly welcomed Trevor in to their hearts when he suddenly appeared in that little tunnel in the late nineties. But just as suddenly Toy Mic Trevor has seemed to have disappeared.

Message boards have been inundated with concerned fans. After some thorough research of ooh at least twenty minutes, theSprout has been unable to locate Trevor or even if he is still on this mortal coil.

So please if you have information on the whereabouts of one of the legends of Cardiff please post below.
