Yesterday - An Analysis
Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away,
Pretty self-explanatory, yesterday Paul had nothing to worry about!
Now it seems as though they're here to stay, oh I believe in yesterday,
Paul probably did something very stupid, and wishes he hadn't.
Suddenly I'm not half the man I used to be,
He had his limbs cut off, I think. A ninja snuck up behind him and went SNIP! on his limbs.
There's a shadow hanging over me, oh yesterday came suddenly,
The ninja is still loitering. He's behind you Paul!
Why she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say,
He was with a girl who left. I think it's because she saw the ninja and panicked and fled. I often see ninjas behind people... and I see ninjas in my head, but those ones are usually in bright green shirts...
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday,
He joked about ninjas. Ninjas don't stand for mockery.
Yesterday love was such an easy game to play,
He used to be good at this whole love thing and now he's not. The ninjas stripped him of his love prowess.
Now I need a place to hide away, oh, I believe in yesterday,
Paul needs to go into hiding before the ninjas before they kill him.
The rest of the words are just repeats. So there you have it - the ninjas were out to get Paul! And don't forget, you heard it here first!

Very insightful, I've never thought of it like that before... Although, I feel pretty uneasy now about the prospect that there are Ninjas out there lurking in the shadows. Do they only go for musicians? What about Journalists, are we safe?
