A new 'mobile and Internet' gallery is soon to appear in The Hayes. ?
Funded by Unltd.org.uk, iCymru will operate both online and in the city centre. ?
It aims to create a platform for artists and young people to showcase their creative work.?
All forms of artwork are needed: from written word, audio, photographs of artwork, photography and videography are needed. (You retain all copyright of your work) ?
iCymru will launch in the Hayes in July 2009. They say: "We are looking for striking images and work for this socially lead project. The aim of the project is to take people, media, work and info out of the gallery/building and into public spaces for all to see.?
"With young people using the public space more, this project can take their work and put it into their hands in the form of the mobile phone".?
iCymru is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and talents of people from across Wales. The project will also promote the work of the organisations involved and raise awareness, all the while being good fun.?
If you are interested in submitting a piece of original artwork then please email a short bio, images, mp3, word document, or Quicktime video to info@icymru.co.uk or post it to iCymru at the address below. ?
We cannot offer any prize or payment for submissions, but all work submitted be shown.?We will credit the artists as well as displaying a bio page about each artist. ?
This project is funded?by UnLtd: a charity which supports social entrepreneurs - people with vision, drive, commitment and passion who want to change the world for the better.?
There is no closing date as this is an ongoing project. But artists wishing to showcase their work at the launch need to submit their entries no later than July 30th. We look forward to receiving your work.?
