Advocacy Matters (Wales)
AMW provides two kinds of advocacy; Citizen Advocates provide long term advocacy support and friendship. Citizen advocates are volunteers which mean that they are not paid.
Independent Advocates are employed by AMW and support adults (aged 18 and over) with a learning disability and / or Asperger syndrome to address specific problems and issues. Independent Advocates will not make decisions for you, or tell you what is best for you. Their role is to help you understand your rights and any choices you may have.
Advocates are independent. This means that we do not work for social services, health services or any other support services. We are here to help you! All information is kept private
These advocacy services are FREE and we accept referrals from any source.
