Sherman Cymru
Creative Learning at Sherman Cymru is all about getting involved in theatre. Seeing it, hearing it, feeling it and making it. The newly refurbished Sherman Cymru building is open and our Creative Learning team is working with the local community more than ever! We work with young people and community groups aged 4+ through a variety of different projects and ongoing programmes.
Sherman Cymru Youth Theatre offers a variety of performance opportunities in English and Welsh for young people aged 10 to 25; Company 5 is a diverse new community theatre group for ages 20+ where participants can learn new skills in acting, voice and movement; The Young Writers Group gives young writers aged between 15 and 23 the opportunity to be nurtured, encouraged and mentored by a professional playwright. We also now have a whole new outreach and community strand, where we are currently visiting local primary and secondary schools to facilitate bespoke workshops and projects, as well as opening our doors to them to visit us at the theatre too!
